Dawn here (the little mennonite blog) with an easy star card for you today.  This was made with eyeConnect Crafts lace up Celebration Stars and it can be turned into a Christmas card.

Directions:

Cut out a rectangle of white cardstock, slightly smaller then an A2 card front.  (I die cut mine.)  Stamp a diagonal strip stamp (mine was from Simon Says Stamp) with VersaMarkand cover with white embossing powder.  Heat set with a heat gun.  Ink squeezed lemonaid distress ink over surface.  The embossed area will resist the distress ink.  Take gold thread and wrap around the panel.  Secure the thread to the panel back with tape.

Take the eyeConnect Crafts lace up Celebration Stars and colour them blue with felt marker.  Next, cover the stars with blue glitter.  When this is dry use a gold gel pen and make a dotted pattern on the outside edge of the stars.

Finally, to complete the eyeConnect Crafts lace up Celebration Stars card, heat emboss a sentiment in gold on velum (mine is from an old Hero Arts set) and adhere the sentiment and stars to the front panel, then adhere the front panel to the card front.  To upgrade this card into a Christmas card add a Christmas sentiment inside (such as: “Hooray… its Christmas time!“).

Hope your Christmas is merry and bright!  🙂
