Sneak peak of the forthcoming Splash Biome Tunnel Book!

It’s been a long time in the making, but I’m happy to be able to finally share with you a sneak peak at the forthcoming Splash Biome Tunnel Book I have been developing!

For quite some time now I have though the Totem Poppets needed a home. I wanted to make sure that it was both interesting and educational and also customizable. The pages fit a standard 3 ring binder and come preshaoed to look like a Splash that is receding as you turn the pages. Here are 6 pages total, each made from a nice stiff 100% recycled chipboard.

So to that effect, here a short flip through of the finished prototype of the Splash Biome Tunnel Book due to be released in the fall!

Dolphin Adventure Awaits

Dolphin Adventures!

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today working with EyeConnect Crafts.

How about taking a Dolphin adventure today!  I’ve used Faber Castell Gelatos to color my dolphins well as the cards.

Eyeconnect Crafts –  Dolphin

Colorant – Faber Castell Gelatos

Ink – ColorBox Crafter’s Ink for Ann Butler – Limelight

Stamp – Unity Stamps, KellyCraft

Adhesive – Helmar

I began by adding assorted colors of Gelatos to the card.

Using a baby wipe, I blended the colors until I liked the background.

Next, I did the same to the Dolphins.

I stamped some faux sea grass to the bottom of the card, then added a stamped sentiment.

Then I placed the dolphin on top with foam adhesives.

I had a lot of fun creating my dolphins and I even created a short video (my very first!) showing you what I did.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Classy and Sassy Tag

Classy and Sassy Craft Tag.

by Steph Ackerman

Good morning everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with my first post as a member of the EyeConnect Crafts Design Team.  I am so excited to be designing with these amazing chipboard products.  If you haven’t already, please take a look around the store and check out the fun chipboard products available.  There are some really fun designs to work with.

Eyeconnect Crafts –  Lace-Up Long Dress
Ink – ColorBox Pigment Ink by Teresa Collins – Loft Black
Stamps – KellyCraft Set B
Cardstock – Bazzill
Pattern paper – K&Co.
Pearls – Want2Scrap
Flower – Jolee’s
Twine – The Twinery
  • Create a tag that will fit the long dress.
  • Cut pattern paper to fit and ink edges with black ink.
  • Adhere to black cardstock, then add to tag.
  • Ink long dress with black ink, then lace up the dress with twine.
  • Place long dress on the tag on a slight angle using foam adhesives for dimension.

  • Stamp sentiment in black ink and cut into pennant shape. (I thought this sentiment worked well with the dress).
  • Mat with black cardstock.
  • Insert slightly behind dress and adhere.
  • Add large flower to top of tag.
  • Cut apart pearl swirls and add randomly about tag.
What do you think?  I am thrilled with how this turned out.
 Thanks for stopping by today.

Quick and Easy Anniversary Card

I met my husband in the winter. To celebrate I made him a quick and easy anniversary card using a stamp from Stampendous and our Lace-Up Broken Hearts in Large.

Using a black off white card, I stamped this Stampendous block stamp on the card’s front and back in a square pattern using a gray green ink. I left the bottom third blank.

LaceUp_Label_Broken_Heart_Blue_(5_of_3) LaceUp_Label_Broken_Heart_Blue_(6_of_3)

Then to add interest and make it pop, I painted one of EyeConnect Craft’s Lace-Up broken hearts in large with two different color blues. Once it was dry I added silver glitter to the top. I then stitched up the heart using a left over bit of turquoise ribbon from my stash.

Quick and easy anniversary card.

I add this to the front of the card along with the text, “Happy 4th Anniversary” written in brown calligraphy pen. (You may have noticed I misspelled Anniversary. I’m a horrible speller and writing offline doesn’t have spell check. My husband and I had a good laugh over this.)

On the back I added a cute little fortune cookie fortune I had saved that says, ” This is the time for love and affection.”

In the inside I added a second fortune cookie note that read, ” A good beginning is half the task.” And of course “Love, Me.”

And there you have it, a very quick and easy anniversary cards. You can use this technique of stamping a blank card and then adding one of our chipboard embellishments for a quick and easy greeting card to celebrate just about any even. Try it out!
