Hello, dear friends! Happy (belated) Valentine’s Day!

Lilian (The Leaf Studio) here today to share a project, inspired by Erin’s Tunnel Book! (Click HERE to see it)

Valentine’s Day might be gone, but it’s never too much to show your loved ones how you feel about them! I used Totem Swan to make a Shadow Box Card…here are some supplies:

How-To (Totem Swan):

  1. Remove Head and Body from the carrier and load them with VersaMark ink
  2. Sprinkle White Embossing Powder
  3. Heat pieces with a Heat Gun until powder melts
  4. Let them cool down and assemble using a Mini-Brad in White
  5. Using Sharpie markers, draw eye and color the beak:

How-To (Shadow Box Card):

My card is 5″ x 7″ and I figured out my own template (but I found a tutorial for a smaller card size HERE)

  1. Trim a piece of Kraft cardstock to 10″ 3/4 x 5″. Score the edges at 3/8″, for 5 times, on each side and fold them (starting from the inside score line, fold in, out, in, etc)
  2. Trim three 5″ x 7″ panels (I trimmed 2 of them 1/8″ smaller on length to fit in the folds of the card). Then, cut some openings (you can also use die cuts or electronic die cut machines for this step)
  3. This is what they look like stacked
  4.  Stamp different patterns on the 3 panels and adhere a piece of 5″ x 7″ patterned paper to the back of the card (trim it 1/8″ smaller to fit the background)
  5. Adhere the smaller panels to the accordion folds, and adhere the first panel on the top:

6. Finally, add the Totem Swan and some stickers:
